U is for Under--as in Under the Weather
Man, I am dying a thousand deaths here lately. I got a headache last weekend. I knew it was from the hard work we'd done, the weather and all that jazz.
We'd gone to Tulsa to paint my dad's other house. All of us pitched in and while my work was not stressful, I was out in the heat and the bright sun. So that started it. Then I went around front to help the love of my life, who was doing the highest and hardest work. He got down off the 24 foot extension ladder and I said I'd go up and help out. BIG MISTAKE. I went up and I was OK for a while.
Then I lost my mind. I have an inner ear problem that makes me afraid of heights, where I was never afraid before. I am clumsy, to make matters worse. I got up high, did OK for a while, while fast talking myself "You're OK, it's all right, don't look down..." I must have looked down, because that was it. I flipped out. I got myself down, all-the-while sinking my nails into the fiberglass ladder. :)
However, I think the freak out made my bloodpressure shoot up. Because the headaches kicked into high gear right after that. I have normally low BP, that spikes occasionally and it causes these stupid headaches. So I went home with a headache on Sunday, then by Monday I was in agony. I'd done OK all day Monday to lay low. If I moved funny the pain spider webbed all over my head. I'd maxed my meds so I decided I'd take a hot bath. That screwed it for me. I ended up getting worse. I was trying to dress myself when I got sick. Getting sick gave me a couple of minutes worth of relief, and then complete agony. It felt like I burst something inside of my head. I flipped out--something I've never done, and started screaming. It hurt so bad. I was sure I'd had a stroke or something.
Anyway, long story short, I ended up in the ER. My Stupid BP was 58/90 (Can you say "Vampire at sunrise?") They were kind enough to put me in a dark place until they could treat me. When they did treat me, they doubled my usual dose of pain killer and the anti nausea drug--which still did not help. I did sleep, but it was a long time before the nausea passed. It took me two days to get past the need to fall asleep if I sat still for more than a minute. I slept about 60 out of 72 hours.
My headache was finally gone yesterday--and I wake up today, to find the bitch is back. I have an appointment this week--I am wondering if I am headed for the ER again. God I hope not. This is getting way old for me. I want to have a nice trip to San Antonio....not a headache for three days.

Girl you need to be referred to a neurologist for that shit. That sounds scary! I hope it goes away soon, but please get it checked out more thoroughly. Yikes! (((BIG, BIG HUGS)))~B~ :-(
