100 Things About Me...

I got this shoved on me from a friend...Who will not get her butt kicked this time around, but next time...She's a goner!

1. I am not a natural redhead

2. My temperament is

3. I love creativity

4. I loathe cruelty and cruel people

5. I love cats

6. I love dogs

7. I just love animals

8. I have mild dyslexia

9. Also ADHD--though much lessened in my older years

10. I am a Military Brat

11. I am a middle child

12. I have 2 sisters and a brother

13. And a niece who was raised like a sister.

14. I am really quite social, but I could be hermit in a moments notice

15. I am completely in love with my husband

16. He's the best friend I have ever had

17. I have 2 sons of my own

18. My family means everything to me. (It took me years to understand that)

19. My parents are two of the coolest people in the world

20. My dad is my hero

21. My mom is incredible--but don't try to tell her that

22. I spent 15 years not really talking to my older sister, now, she's one of my best friends.

23. I grew up overseas

24. I was born in Mississippi, and always said it was because my mom couldn't get across the state line fast enough...Then I lived in Louisiana, and now I understand why I was born in Mississippi! :)

25. My deepest darkest secret at 8 years old, was that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up

26. My deepest darkest secret at 10 years old was that my older sister was doing speed, heroine and dealing hash.

27. My deepest darkest secret at 12 years of age was that my sister, who no longer lived with us, was a drug addict and it was a source of shame to my family.

28. My deepest darkest secret at 17 and 10 months of age, was that I was pregnant

29. My deepest darkest secret at 18 and 5 months of age was that I was pregnant

30. My biggest reality check was at 18 and 5 months of age, when my parents did not scream, they said "what do we need to do to get ready for this baby?"

31. My next biggest reality check was at 18 and 7 months of age, when I somehow magically delivered the one of the greatest gifts of life, my son. And he was perfect and healthy, despite my best efforts to be an idiot.

32. I rarely win prizes or contests--but when I do-they tend to be sooooo cool

33. I think I am a computer addict

34. I love to sleep in--it's such a luxury

35. My husband is too good for me--thank god he doesn't know that!

36. I spent 2 years in Africa

37. I spent 2 years in Italy

38. I lived in Germany when there was a definite EAST and WEST!

39. I spent 3 years in West Germany

40. I spent nearly 6 years in Berlin

41. I graduated High School in Berlin

42. Our house had some wild things going on in it in Berlin. Spook wise

43. Our house in West Germany also had some wild happenings--seen by many.

44. I was 10, crouching in a woodline with another kid, by a WWII bunker--we were playing war, when a man walked up to me and crouched behind me. He was a German in a uniform I'd never seen. He scared the hell out of us, because we thought we were busted--then he stood and began to walk away, and disappeared before our eyes. That was my first ghostly sighting.

45. My favorite game as a kid was WAR--I was always the commander

46. In Germany I played WAR in WWII bunkers

47. In Italy, I played War in a bombed out church ruin that was about 600 years old.

48. By the time we moved to Berlin, I was too old for War, so I just played in the bars--and visited the monuments as a tourist.

49. I had no idea how lucky I was as a kid to grow up like I did.

50. My dad was Air Force...But I always loved the Army

51. I loved English as a kid

52. I can't do math--except business math, to save my life

53. I don't think my dog has been out of the house in two days, his kidneys must be about to burst--but he won't go out.

54. My husband is in the livingroom doing everything he can to make me come in and talk to him...

55. I am a procrastinator--for me, it's an art form

56. I really hate the Holidays

57. I don't think they much like me either. :)

58. I used to love to cook

59. Now, it's a once in a blue moon deal

60. I think a woman created the BBQ grill so she could get out of the kitchen

61. I am a very good cook though

62. I live in Louisiana

63. I just moved here

64. I am running out of ideas for this posting ...

65. My favorite color is a deep magenta red color

66. I love to do stained glass

67. I also like to paint things (not paintings)

68. I was never much more creative then writing, until I hit 30

69. I love to bargain shop

70. I love junk shops

71. I love to do furniture restoration

72. My older son is an artist

74. My life is a blur anymore

75. Now I am really scrapping the bottom of the barrel here ... :)

78. I tend to read men's books ... but mostly prefer "thinkers"

79. I cry way too much anymore

80. I prefer to laugh

81. I believe adversity gives you great opportunity for comedic sketches

82. My favorite place in the world to live, was Alaska

83. I try to be the kind of friend I want to have

84. I believe in Karma -- she visits me way too often to not.

85. I think Hollywood is bull of Morons, and can't stand that todays heros are such punk asses

86. I always wished I'd lived long ago--todays world os more modern than I care for.

87. I love politics, once upon a time, I actually used to love debating them too

88. I've worked for the UN

89. I've worked for the Alaska Pipeline

90. I've worked in City Hall for the Mayor's Action Committee

91. I worked in the City Clerk's for a time too

92. I worked for the USDOE Public Affairs Offices

93. I turned down a free, 2 week trip to Beijing, China, because the Chinese pissed me off.

94. I used to own an Amazon Parrot

95. I miss her everyday

96. I am almost to 100

97. I cheat a lot!

98. I am a step mother to 3

99. I need a nap

100. OMG I am done!!!!

I think I did my 100 things about me 6 months ago. Thank God! I hated having to come up with many things. I can write about my loved ones so much easier than I can about myself-lol
