Buncha Nuthin'
I feel obligated to blog--who knows why.
I have been fighting something lately. I am not sure if it's stress or some kind of flu catching up. I really have screwed myself in having to take drugs to function and get through my classes. I was never so happy for the day off. Little man is sick too. I am really getting concerned that this cold for him is more like walking pneumonia. Poor thing sounds like he's drowning.
The positives have been that Prince Sexy Bitch has finally made a friend. Someone he really likes, not just someone to hang with. I met this kid at our New Years Block Party. He was pretty surprised I went over to talk with him. I think he felt like since he was a teenager he'd just be ignored. Instead, he and I and later, his mom, sat and talked. The more I know him, the more I like him. Moreso--he's almost exactly like my little Prince Sexy Bitch. They are both very shy, artists, both just taught themselves guitar this summer. They just are so alike, I figured they'd hate or love each other. When my LPSB came home from his dad's I took him over and introduced him, they've been buddies ever since. It's nice, because I know he was so lonely. I know how hard it is to say goodbye to friends. He needed this.
Love of my life, finally got the garage in total working order. He built and 8 foot work bench, I bought him a Miter saw as an early gift (Birthday). Between it and the Table saw, he's lord of the garage. They garage door gets opened and suddenly there's 4-5 people in the doorway looking to see what he's up to--wanting to grunt at the power tools. It's funny, I think the next power tool I will have to get him is a small fridge for beer--for all of his socializing! LOL Honestly, I know he loves it. This is the first time he's really also had a great space to do it all in.
As soon as he cleared his area, I went right out there and claimed some space. :) For me, we set up a really great work station, where I can sit and work on my glass projects, with the garage door open and I can watch little man out playing. It's so perfect. I love it. It's been so long since I had the freedom to do my stuff while he too had his freedom to run and play. I doubt this means I'll suddenly get a lot done, but it does mean that when I do it, I'll be very Zen about it. I've already made one piece, with his unit crest on it, for his office window. I have a couple more projects in mind for him...Guess it's a good thing he gave up some space for me. :)
