Getting Screwed By The Machine

I just find myself trying to figure out where to start. I know one thing, I am going to go ahead and forward this one to the submission stack. I think it needs more publicity than my mad ravings.

I always thought IG was set in place to protect the soldier from the bullies that prey upon them in the service structure. Now I find IG really is just the bully's best friend, who holds down the soldier, while the bully kicks the ever loving crap out of the soldier. Screw the soldier, IG is here so officers don't have to answer to a higher power, IG is here to assist the chain of command in ignoring the issues of the downtrodden breeders we so lovingly call Enlisted.

I am sure glad I know this now. Now I will not be surprised when I see wrong doings not only going unpunished but even applauded. Welcome to the Army, welcome to Fort Polk, welcome to 10th Mountain. (Hmmmm, is that an OPSEC violation?)

Daily, the reports take a new slant. Morale is so low, I really think it's only a matter of time before a full on mutiny is in the face of this half-assed semi-legit command. Wait a minute Batman! That would require coordination and God knows we worthless schmucks have none of that and could never pull it off.

Worried you might die as a result of someone's incompetence on the battlefield? Concerned your buddy died for reasons he did not need to? Paying a price much higher than the wages of national pride? Is patriotism costing you and ARM and a LEG? Well buddy, chances are good then, that you are in 10th Mountain Fort Polk.
